Ugandan Women Judges Participate in 18th IAWJ Africa Regional Conference
Ugandan Delegation of Women Judicial Officers at the Conference

A delegation of women judges under their umbrella body, International Association of Women Judges -Uganda Chapter are in Accra, Ghana for the 18th International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) Africa Regional Conference, 2024.

The Ugandan is team led by President IAWJ- Uganda Chapter, Hon. Lady Justice Elizabeth Alividza and Hon. Lady Justice Henrietta Wolayo, Regional Director IAWJ Central and East Africa.

Others in attendance include Hon. Lady Elizabeth Musoke, Hon. Lady Justice Catherine Bamugemereire, Hon.Lady Justice Immaculate Busingye, Hon. Lady Justice Comfort Kania, Hon. Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze Batala, HW Sarah Langa Siu- Chief Registrar and other Registrars and Magistrates.

The Conference is being held under the theme; "Combating Negative Cultural Practices in Contemporary Times - The Role of Women Judges."

This Conference will build on the success of previous Conferences and take advantage of the IAWJ's unique position in bringing together judicial officers from around the world to discuss matters of mutual concern.
